On the afternoon of January 14^th, the School of Stomatology held a conference on scientific research integrity and academic ethics education in Room 639, Medical Laboratory Building, East District, Chengguan Campus. The conference was conducted online and offline simultaneously. More than 200 people including master tutors and all the master students from School of Stomatology attended. The meeting was presided over by Professor Wang Jing, the vice president.

Secondly, Professor Wang Jing explained the “Sampling Inspection and Results of Doctor’s & Master’s Dissertation of Lanzhou University”, and conveyed the scope and key types for sampling and evaluation methods, as well as the relevant penalty measures for the “problematic dissertation”.

Finally, Professor Wang Jing summed up some problems in scientific research integrity and the quality of academic papers among teachers and students based on the actual situation of the college. It is emphasized that tutors should set an example, guide students to abide by academic ethics, and never tolerate violations of scientific research integrity. At the same time, tutors are required to strengthen the control and supervision of the whole process of graduate thesis, pay close attention to the quality of each link, and make joint efforts from the college, tutors and postgraduates, so as to improve the quality of dissertation and the awareness of scientific research integrity.
